Are You Prepared?
Benjamin Franklin said that “by failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” Have you made preparations for your future? Jesus has prepared for your future in eternity. In John 14:2,3, Jesus says, “In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.”
Jesus laid down his life to give you a fabulous future. He did his part. He prepared Heaven for you, and he died to open Heaven’s gates to you. But “Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people.” ~Dwight Moody
Heaven is a place for people who love God with all they have, and who love their neighbors as they love themselves. (Matt. 22:37-40) Heaven is a place for people who trust God enough to obey him in every circumstance. (Rom. 1:5) If you’re not living in love and faithful obedience, you’re not living in readiness. Live a prepared life now. The Lord will return for his own like a thief in the night. (1Thess. 5:2) He’ll come back when you least expect it, so the only way to be prepared for the future is to be prepared today! -Paul
