Don't Fear Mistakes and Failures
Failures make mistakes. Very successful people also make mistakes, perhaps even more than failures as they take risks and try new things. Successful people learn from mistakes, push past them, and go on to achieve better things. Winston Churchill, the British prime minister who was instrumental in defeating Hitler and the Nazis during World War II said, “Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.”
If you want to please God, you must not let fear of failure paralyze you into inaction. In fact, Jesus says burying your talents and playing it safe makes you a wicked and lazy servant (Matt. 25:26).
Do the best you can, live by God’s instructions, ask God to help you, and go forward boldly, knowing that God will work everything together for good (Rom. 8:28), even your mistakes and failures. The encouragement God gave Joshua before Joshua led the Israelites into Canaan is the encouragement God gives you. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." (Jos. 1:9) -Paul
